| about satvic |
 |
over the past 500 years, the writings of the great philosopher kabir have been living in the hearts and minds of the people. his take on critical issues like religion, communalism, society and individual behavior are relevant even today.
satvic attempts to bring these words to life, transforming them into contemporary music, yet using instruments like the sarangi and pakawaj, traditional indian instruments that face the danger of extinction. at the same time, a guitar and drums/octapad contribute familiar elements of sound to make these compositions a ‘fusion’ of then and now.
satvic has performed widely in delhi circuits, including at sahitya kala parishad and the national school of drama.
the group comprises of anil, sunil, rajesh, sandy and ashish. apart from being making up satvic, the group members are also actively associated with composing and performing music for theater. |
