the program revolves on the premise that stress is not a disease but only a response of individuals to natural and manmade events. however stress is identified as one of the major causes of major health problems such as peptic ulcer, hypertension and coronary disorders. health and stress are related both on a vicious cycle and virtuous cycle.

the topic is viewed from three angles- psychological, medical and yogic. simple instruments like type a/type b personality and profile on five dimensions of individuals provide data for analysis. simple asanas, pranayama and meditation are practiced in the classroom. experiencing nada either through selections of classical music or chanting simple vedic prayers, which have universal appeal, is a part of the program. if the participants bring to the program such nada cassettes of their culture these can be included in the evening time. there will also be a discussion on diet.
